Lunaris / Let’s build
what comes next.
Let’s build
what comes next.
Fund a capability, commission a pilot, or bring Lunaris into a research programme. We are looking for partners with a clear technical ambition and a reason to move it forward.
RELEASE 17 BASELINE / FR1 PAIRED FDD / TERRESTRIAL + NTN
Ways to work together
Turn ambition into
a paid programme.
01 / PAID PILOT
Demonstrate a defined use case.
For gNB vendors, satellite integrators and research teams. Agree one configuration, peer environment, traffic objective and acceptance criteria. Potential outputs: an integrated demonstration, a campaign report and a clear gap analysis.
02 / SPONSORED R&D
Develop the missing capability.
Fund a bounded feature, radio integration or validation milestone. Potential outputs: implementation, focused tests, documented limitations and evidence against your agreed target.
03 / VALIDATION SERVICES
Understand interoperability.
Commission a profile-specific UE/gNB/core campaign with independent observations. Potential outputs: a reproducible procedure, correlated evidence, failed-case analysis and recommended next actions.
04 / TECHNOLOGY ACCESS
Explore integration and licensing.
Discuss evaluation access, technical support, integration and licensing options. Availability, rights, delivery scope and commercial terms are agreed individually; no public source distribution is offered here.
Milestones worth funding
Choose the next
evidence frontier.
NTN CHANNEL CAMPAIGNS
From static delay to moving orbit.
Design consistent time-varying delay and Doppler campaigns, connect assistance refresh to uplink behaviour, and evaluate recovery at controlled boundaries.
INTEROPERABILITY
Broaden a validated profile.
Qualify selected access, repetition, configured-grant, bearer or IPv6 cases against a named peer deployment. Resolve strict-audit gaps before extending a claim.
HARDWARE & PERFORMANCE
Qualify a practical deployment.
Fund radio integration, calibrated RF/power measurement, real-time profiling and workload-specific performance work with explicit conditions.
PRODUCTISATION
Create an integration path.
Define an evaluation package, configuration set, diagnostic workflow and support model around a partner’s real lab or demonstration needs.
A clear engagement process
One objective.
Measurable progress.
01
Frame the use case.
Share the target network, deployment, radio/channel constraints, desired procedure and programme context. We identify what exists and what needs work.
02
Agree the work package.
Define deliverables, acceptance criteria, dependencies, evidence, review points, budget and rights in the engagement agreement.
03
Build and demonstrate.
Implement or integrate the agreed scope, run focused checks and execute the selected campaign. Review deviations and failed cases as engineering evidence.
04
Review the next decision.
Use the final evidence to decide whether to extend a pilot, qualify a broader profile or advance a further research milestone.
Who should get in touch
A shared technical objective
is the best starting point.
- Satellite operators, NTN system integrators and terminal developers exploring UE behaviour under long delay and Doppler.
- gNB and core-network developers who need a configurable endpoint and a focused interoperability partner.
- Equipment vendors and test laboratories building repeatable, instrumented NR/NTN demonstrations.
- Industrial R&D teams, consortium coordinators and public/private funders seeking a concrete UE technology work package.
Lunaris is developed at CTTC within a wider terrestrial and satellite communications research environment. The value of an engagement is the combination of configurable technology, detailed observability and the engineering work needed to answer your particular question.
Start with a technical conversation
What would you like
to make possible?
Tell us the use case, the peer network or hardware you want to connect, the milestone you need to reach and the evidence your stakeholders expect. We will use that as the starting point for a scoped commercial discussion.
Contact Pol Henarejos ↗Please use an initial high-level description. Detailed technical material, evaluation access and project-specific evidence can be discussed under an appropriate agreement.
Questions partners ask
Before we begin.
Is Lunaris a commercial, certified modem?
Lunaris is research UE technology with implemented components and selected lab validation. It is not presented as a certified production modem. A paid engagement defines the maturity, operating profile and deliverables required for your objective.
Can we review the evidence before committing?
The public validation page gives campaign scope and accepted results. Detailed reports, demonstrations and evaluation access can be discussed under appropriate commercial and confidentiality arrangements.
Can you promise our exact feature or radio is supported?
Support is configuration-dependent. We assess your profile against the capability catalogue and evidence, identify gaps and agree a feasibility or development milestone where needed.
How are access, licensing and intellectual property handled?
These are agreed individually for the engagement. An evaluation, integration project or sponsored work package may need different access, deliverable and licensing terms. Contact the team to discuss the intended use.
